We have put together some tips to help you in removing turmeric stains should that become an issue.

 

Vinegar and Lemons:

How to use: Dilute vinegar or lemon in water and apply the solution on the stained area. Let the stain soak up the solution for a while. Wipe it away with a clean cloth or a steel wool scrubber after a couple of minutes.

 

Baking Soda:

How to use: Dilute some baking soda in water or vinegar for best results, till it becomes a thick paste. Apply the paste on the stained area and leave it on for a few minutes. Wipe the area clean with a clean cloth.

 

Baking Soda + Dishwashing Liquid:

How to use: Premix baking soda and dish wash liquid in the ratio of 1:3 and wash the turmeric stain on carpet. Repeat washing the stained area with a mixture of baking soda and lukewarm water.

  

Liquid Detergents:

How to use: You could either use a drop of liquid detergent alone or dilute it in water. Use this on the stained area and leave it on for a couple of minutes. Take a sponge or a steel wool scrubber and scrub it away gently.

 

Multi-purpose cleaners:

How to use: Depending on the material of the countertops, a mild bleaching agent can be used for the stains. A simple soap solution can also work wonders provided you wash the stain off right away.

 

Carpet Cleaners:

How to use: Prepare a mixture of warm water and detergent and apply it over the turmeric stain. Now gently scrub with the help of soft brush so that stain can be removed. After that vacuum clean the area.

  

Glycerine:

How to use: Premix glycerin and water in the ratio of 1:1 and apply on the stained area. Leave it to soak for about 15 minutes and then, again apply lukewarm water and give a gentle blotting up over the area.
